Grooming and Bathing

What is included in your grooming price?

Our custom cut package entails a 4-step bath: first we use a degreasing shampoo, then a cleansing shampoo, followed by a blueberry facial and a reactivating conditioner. The reactivating conditioner is great because if they get wet over the next few weeks, the fresh scent of our shampoo will reactivate rather than that “wet dog” scent we all know too well. Next, they will experience a warm fluff dry, a medicated ear cleaning, a nail trim and file, and of course a custom hair cut to fit your lifestyle and taste.

How do you determine the prices of your grooms?

Our grooming prices vary depending on the dog’s breed, their size, the condition of their coat, the type of hair cut you’d like and their temperament during the groom.

Will my dog sit in a cage while he waits for his turn to be groomed?

My dog isn’t aggressive at all but she is scared of other dogs, is there somewhere she can have her own space if I can’t pick her up as soon as her groom is done?

We are a cage free facility, but if your pet prefers alone time while they wait for you to pick them up, they are welcome to relax in one of our doggy condos.

What kind of shampoo do you use?

Quadruped Pet Care. The line was originally founded in 1997 to provide professional quality shampoos, conditioners, and other related pet care products for pet groomers and show exhibitors. They use only the most natural ingredients such as Mojave Yucca Extract (Yucca Schidigera) and other proven effective ingredients like Panthenol, milk protein, Aloe Vera, silk protein, sustainable palm oil, lemongrass, hydrolyzed collagen and oatmeal. Mojave Yucca, the main ingredient in our shampoo, enhances the body’s production of its own natural cortisone, aiding in the treatment of many inflammatory pet skin-related problems. Mojave Yucca instantly addresses the problems caused by fleas, ticks, and mites in dogs and cats. We use quadruped pet grooming products because they offer our fur clients the best all natural grooming experience.

My dog has a few fleas but I don’t want him to be bathed in chemicals, do you have any alternatives?

Yes! Our all natural shampoo kills fleas and treats any inflammation or irritation they might have caused. *Please keep in mind, a flea bath only kills adult fleas. You must find an alternative treatment to kill eggs and prevent future problems.*

 Do you offer tooth brushing?

Yes! We offer a 2-step tooth brushing for $5. We use an all-natural tooth paste to scrub their pearly whites, followed by a spritz of our awesome ‘bad-breath-be-gone’ spray, both made in house! Better yet, we sell BOTH of these products so you can use them at home too!

My dog is shedding like crazy but I really don’t want to shave him…what can you do and what will it cost?

We offer a ‘shed-less’ package just for dogs like yours. This package features a special conditioner: a proprietary blend of Omega 3 & 6 Fatty Acids, Chamomile Extract and Aloe Vera which releases the undercoat during the bath to help protect against excessive shedding. After the bath and blow dry, the dog will receive thorough brushing to ensure all loose hair has been successfully removed. This bath ‘add-on’ treatment is $10-30 depending on size, coat condition and temperament of the dog.

Day care and Boarding

What services do you provide?

Grooming, doggy day care and Boarding

Do you board cats?

We do not board cats on site because we feel they do better in their own environment. However, we do offer a check-in service where we can come to your home and put down fresh food and water, clean the litter box and check on their well-being as well as the status of your home while you’re away. This is $20/visit, up to 3 visits per day.

How much does day care cost?

$5/hour up to 5 hours, or a full day for $30. A full day consists of 6-10 hours between the hours of 9am-6pm. Early drop off and late pick up extra.

Do you require shot records?

We do require vaccination history, but our major regulation is that your pet is both people and dog friendly. In an effort to insure the safety of our fur clients, we will not accommodate any pets with a history of aggressive behaviors or tendencies. Our goal is to create a comfortable, stress free environment for both dogs and their humans.

Is day care included in the boarding rate?

Yes, the boarding rate of one night includes 24 hours of care.

My dog is aggressive toward small dogs, but I am desperate for a place to board him next week. Can you take him?

Unfortunately, we have an open concept boarding facility and we are not designed to accommodate dogs with aggressive tendencies. We are incredibly sorry for any inconvenience.

Your facility seems way too small for my dog. He needs activity and exercise. I don’t think this is a good fit.

I understand your concern. However, we are designed to create a home-like atmosphere. Our goal is to make your pet feel like they are at their home away from home, not a large boarding facility. We walk our fur clients multiple times a day to ensure they are getting the exercise they need. (Most of our clients report that their dog is exhausted when they pick up at the end of the day! A tired dog is a good dog.)

How much notice do you need for boarding?

Typically, we can board your pet with little notice in case of an emergency, however, we strongly recommend AT LEAST 24 hours’ notice when booking your pet’s stay, and as far in advance as possible for holidays.

My dog takes medication for his allergies, are you able to give it to him and does it cost extra?

We can absolutely give oral medications! Not a problem! There is no extra cost for medication administration.

Where do you sleep when you have boarding dogs?

We stay right here in the same house as the dogs! We’ve found that dogs are more comfortable and able to sleep when they know their care giver is close by. We get a couple hours of snuggle time in bed together and then it’s lights out for all of us around 10pm!

I’ve never boarded my dog before and I’m really nervous.

We understand how stressful it can be! Your pets are like your children, we get it! We will do our best to ease your mind throughout this time away. We will send daily photo updates and please feel free to call or text any time to check in on your beloved fur child. We promise they are in good hands!

I’d rather my dog not be walked on the side walk, is there somewhere else they can use the bathroom?

Absolutely! We have a fenced in yard!!

My dog is an escape artist. He’s really good at sneaking between your legs when you go to open doors.

Our facility has two doors, one in the front (the main entrance) and a back door that is for employees only which stays locked. Both doors have a second door barrier to prevent any escapes. Your pup’s safety is our number one concern!
